Bushnell

4th March 2024
After Langston Hughes’s “Lenin”

Bushnell walks around the world.
Frontiers cannot bar him.
Neither can blockades, barricades, and imperialist rallies
Impede him.
Bushnell walks around the world.
From the river to the sea he is honored.
Palestinian, American, Filipino—
Whatever tongue listens to his word.
Bushnell walks around the world.
The fire of his soul radiates.
From afar, carried by the wind:
By any means necessary, Palestine will be free!

Hangò sa “Lenin” ni Langston Hughes

Nililíbot ni Bushnell ang kalibútan.
Hanggána’y dî siyá mahanggaán.
Kahíman blokáda, barikáda, at ráling imperyalísta
Dî siyá káyang hadlangán.

Nililíbot ni Bushnell ang kalibútan.
Mulâ ílog ‘gang dágat siyá’y pinípitagánan.
Palestíno, ‘Kanô, Pilipíno—
Alín mang wikà, habílin niyá’y pinápakinggán.

Nililíbot ni Bushnell ang kalibútan.
Apóy ng kálulwâ niyá’y nagníningníng.
Sa kalayúan, dalá ng hángin:
Paáno’t paáno man, Palestína’y lalayà rin!
