Reghu Janardhanan is an intellectual, author, and political theorist from Kerala. He began his public life with writings that assessed Marxist writings and politics in India. Janardhanan initiated early translations of feminist writings. His shorter works assert the relationship between science and philosophy as a necessity for an egalitarian politics. His recent writings have been critical of caste oppression, exposing the linkages between caste discrimination and postcolonial theory. Janardhanan is involved in the struggles for rights and ecology. He is also a former Editor at the Institute of Encyclopaedia, Kerala.
