Kamran Baradaran is an author, critic, musician, translator and journalist. He has translated works of philosophers including Jean Baudrillard, Antonio Gramsci, Paul Virilio and Slavoj Žižek into Persian. In the field of literature, he has translated works of Giles Cooper, Hector Munro, and Luigi Pirandello. Baradaran has also published a book on Écriture féminine titled Feminine Writing; Improvisation in the Mist. His research areas include critique of capitalism, phenomenology of ruins, vulnerability, class politics, literature, philosophy, critical theory, and film criticism. He is also the associate editor of the Philosophy-World-Democracy journal co-funded by Jean-Luc Nancy, Divya Dwivedi, Achille Mbembe, Shaj Mohan, and Mireille Delmas-Marty.  | Anthony Ballas is an organizer with NFEE Local 4935. He is a Ph.D. student in Literature at Duke and currently teaches philosophy and social sciences at Northern New Mexico College. His work has been published or is forthcoming in Caribbean Quarterly, Revue d’Histoire Haitienne, Middle West Review, Truthout, Canadian Review of American Studies, J19: The Journal of Nineteenth Century Americanists, Peace, land, & Bread, 3:AM Magazine, Scalawag Magazine, and elsewhere. He is currently co-authoring a volume on the rise of neo-fascism with Gerald Horne. Ballas hosts the De Facto Podcast and co-hosts Cold War Cinema.
